ALIKO DANGOTE – Richest Man in Africa, worth $13.8B

Alhaji Aliko Dangote (Nigerian), the Cement, Sugar and Flour merchant is indeed the richest man on the planet and also rated by FORBES as the 51st richest man in the world. He is $0.3B richer than the facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg.
Dangote who was on the 334th position just last year with a worth of $2.1B has moved up the ladder to the 51st position this year in the world of the BILLIONAIRES with a worth of $13.8B.
If you will remember, Alhaji Aliko Dangote was listed among the FORBES BILLIONAIRES just last year after the removal of Femi Otedola (another billionaire and boss of Zenon Group who was listed two years ago).
Following this is also a Nigerian, Mike Adenuga (Globacom Chairman) who is initially listed this year on the list of BILLIONAIRES but as number 556 in the forbes list of world richest billionaires. He is worth $2B.
This makes it two Nigerians at a time to be on the list of the forbes world’s richest.
Again Carlos Slim Helu (the Mexican), remained on the number one position as the world richest man. Unlike last year where he was slightly worth over $50B, this year, he is worth $74B. Bill Gates (United States) came second with $56B fortune while Warren Buffet(United States) rose to $50B fortune.
